These prints are interpretations of the hindu shrines found in Indian homes and on every street. I try to present the intimacy of expression that I believe I find in these art forms not found anywhere else in the world and to reiterate those images. The ongoing relationship that families have with their home-made shrines reflects the constantly evolving nature of family-life. Just as hinduism allows for the constant invention of fresh gods for new problems or celebrations, so people add to and take away from their own mini-temples.
